Here are some highlights:

A few months after my youngest moved out, I found myself standing in a quiet house, coffee in hand, staring into the garage. It used to be full of life—bikes, backpacks, tools scattered everywhere. For the first time in a long time, the house wasn’t buzzing. It was still.
What some people call the “empty nest” felt like something deeper to me. It wasn’t just quiet—it was an open space. I didn’t want to fill that space with noise or distraction. I wanted to build something with it. Something that mattered.
Starting a business at this stage of life wasn’t about chasing money or building an empire. It was about putting all the years of hard-won wisdom into motion. I wanted to serve people with excellence, build something that reflected my values, and create a legacy—not just for my family, but for myself.
It didn’t happen overnight. I sat with the idea for a while. Talked it through with my wife. Asked some hard questions. Then I started slow—testing systems, finding good people, learning as I went. Some days felt like a grind. Others, like a gift.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
It’s not too late.
We spend the first part of our lives building things for others—homes, careers, calendars full of commitments. Somewhere along the way, we forget that we still have dreams of our own. And when the house gets quiet, it’s tempting to think our best years are behind us.
They’re not.
If anything, they’re just now getting the clarity they need.
So if you’re standing in that quiet space, wondering if it’s time for a new chapter—don’t wait for permission. Start something. Even something small. Lean into the risk, but bring your wisdom with you.
You don’t need to prove anything anymore.
But you still have something worth giving.
And that’s reason enough to begin.

Howland Home Services You know you trust a company when the guy who helps tell their story says:
“Hey... why don’t you tear up my backyard next?” 😅
Big shoutout to Matt and Dave from Howland Home Services for kicking off a brand-new custom wrap deck and privacy fence at my place.
I’ve been working with Howland for a while now—helping capture their heart, their values, and their seriously good work ethic. But there’s something about seeing it firsthand… with sawdust in the air and a coffee in hand. ☕🔨
It’s only the beginning, but I can already say: these guys don’t just build stuff—they build trust.
Stay tuned for backyard updates… and yes, a ramp might be involved. 🛹😉

Hey my friends! Just a note to say that the business charges on, and on… New endeavors, new objectives and a lot of return customers! Thank you to all who have made the last FOUR YEARS IN BUSINESS possible. It’s hard to believe I staked my flag at the end of March 2021!

There is nothing greater than seeing the hand of God work within His people working together to effect change in the marketplace. And the stories that emerge are just my favorite.

Have an idea for a project that needs perspective or a new view? Maybe it’s a startup website or video project? Give me a shout! I love collaborations and dreaming all the dreams!
