Blue Monk on Hawthorne has responded that some Thursdays would work for them to have Library Hours! How are Thursdays for everyone? Bailey's Tap Room could be another day, giving us options and geographic diversity. Thoughts in the comments!

Two potential bars! Bailey's Tap Room, downtown on Broadway just off Burnside, has responded. The owner of Tanker, at 48th and Hawthorne, also responded. Group feedback? Downtown, Eastside, or both? A neighborhood you would prefer?

The Seattle Stranger wrote about trying to read in bars a few years ago, hits all the points about why it can be a bummer when people assume you're there alone to get hit on.
Over on Twitter () 3 different people contacted me from Seattle saying they want Library Hours there, 2 from LA, and one from Tuscon!

The Portland Mercury wrote a blog post about Library Hours yesterday, generating 40 comments by today! Some people were upset by the idea, which is good, it strikes a cord!
The following bars were suggested: Side Door, Gilt Club, Goodfoot, Fuel Cafe, Virginia Cafe, McMenamins smaller places, Beulahland, Bye and Bye, Belmont Inn. Some of those are likely too busy, but I'll ask!
