We are a program that provides young men with technical training so they may obtain entry-level employment in the automotive repair industry.
Jumpstart Automotive (Previously Automotive Training Center) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to help improve the lives of young men and women through mentoring them in auto-mechanics. Congratulations to Hamid! Hamid graduated our entry-level technician program almost a year ago at this point. In the beginning of 2022 we started a brand new program called the advanced level training program. Hamid was our first student to be in that program. He worked closely alongside our advanced level instructor, John G, and performed heavier repairs and electrical diagnosis. Upon graduation he accepted a position with Tesla! we are so proud of him and all of his hard work and passion for learning!

In light of Covid, we were unable to host our Monday evening program until the beginning of this year. We’re happy to have our volunteers back and our Introductory Training Program back in action.
Our ITP course is 4 weeks long with 4 students (15-25) and simply gets students familiar with vehicle inspections, confident with using tools, and some light vehicle work.
Some students finish this program and just feel better about knowing more about their own car they drive and not feeling lost when it comes to cars. Others use this as a stepping stone to be more ready to jump in to our Entry Level Technician Program to get a career in the field.
