In the last couple of weeks we have seen a huge increase of phone calls to our office. While we appreciate the confidence in our clinic, staff and providers, we want to continue to offer the same great service. We have updated our phone systems to better handle the increase phone volume, our goal is to talk to everyone that calls our office and not be left waiting on hold with no one to help you. As is our tradition, we will be closed for Thanksgiving Day on Thursday. Wishing a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day, we have a lot to be thankful for, especially our little patients.

We out happy to announce that starting tomorrow we will have the Pediatric Pfizer COVID Vaccine available for our patients ages 5-11.

In order to receive the vaccine for your child you must call to set up a COVID vaccine appointment - (830)773-9449.

Vaccine appointments will only be offered on Friday from 9am to 11am and 2pm to 5pm.

Please make sure your child is not currently sick or experiencing COVID symptoms like fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.

Please keep in mind that that this vaccine is a TWO dose vaccine and will require a second dose 21 days after the initial dose.

The vaccine is FREE to all patients. Per CDC information this vaccine is over 90% effective at preventing COVID in children.

Normal side effects after receiving the vaccine are headache and fatigue for 1 to 2 days.

For patients over the age of 11 wishing to receive a COVID vaccine, please contact H-E-B, Walmart, Walgreens or United Medical Center to receive a full dose adult vaccine.

Yeled Shalom Pediatrics would like to welcome Dr. Carlos Flores to our team. Dr. Flores was born in Mexico City but grew up in Venezuela. He completed his pediatric training in San Juan, Puerto Rico and did his fellowship in pediatric pulmonology in Houston, Texas at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. We believe he will be a great asset to our community. Please help me in welcoming Dr. Flores to Eagle Pass.

Después de terminar su carrera de medicina en Valencia, Venezuela, realizó su especialidad de pediatría en San Juan, Puerto Rico. Posteriormente hizo una sub-especialidad en Neumología Pediátrica en la Universidad de Texas Health Science Center en Houston, Texas. El Dr. Flores domina el inglés y el español.
