Big things are happening at Merzke Custom Solutions this summer.

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be moving into a larger, dedicated woodshop space, giving us more room to build, create, and take on even bigger projects.

We’re also planning to post a lot more here and on our YouTube channel. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at our projects, shop upgrades, CNC work, laser engraving, 3D printing, woodworking builds, and all the creative problem solving that goes into what we do every day.

Handcrafted American Flags

Every flag we make is built to honor craftsmanship and tradition. Choose from two unique styles:

1. Natural Hardwood Flag: Featuring a striking blend of walnut for the union, sapele for the red stripes, and maple for the white stripes and stars.

2. Burnt Oak Flag: Charred using the traditional Japanese burning technique, Shou Sugi Ban, for a bold, timeless look.

Each piece can be customized as either wall art or as a coin rack, perfect for displaying military challenge coins with pride.

Old meets new. We built this custom frame for a client using 100-year-old barn oak paired with fresh white oak. The contrast is subtle; the story is strong. If you have a piece that deserves more than a store-bought frame, we can build one that fits the art and history.

I’m revisiting some of my past custom client projects as I rebrand and prepare for the new launch. This was an interlocking shelf made with Sapele and walnut spline on the miter joints. Sapele is one of my favorite woods to work with and is akin to mahogany.

The next phase of the kitchen remodel is coming along. Fridge surround built and installed. We should have the countertops installed on Tuesday and then to build the pantry cabinets.
