An autism diagnostic evaluation is a comprehensive assessment that helps determine whether a child meets criteria for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), using evidence-based tools and clinical expertise. These evaluations examine how a child communicates, plays, learns, and interacts with others, always considering the child’s individual development and caregiver environment. This evaluation provides a foundation for making informed decisions and coordinating support across a child’s care team.
