Yesterday at 4:30 station 20 was alerted for a commercial building fire in Logan Twp at the Gourmet Buffet. Deputy 15 arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the roof. Engine 20 Rescue 20 and Tanker 20 all responded on the alarm. Engine 20 had orders to supply the stand pipe connection to feed the sprinkler system and the crew from rescue 20 and tanker 20 assisted with overhaul and ventilation. The fire was found to be on the roof near a exhaust vent from the kitchen. The fire was contained to the area of origin and all crews cleared within a few hours.
As always thank you to Cambria Keystone Regional Fire & Rescue Department for standing by in our station while we handled a building fire.

It’s that time of year, high temperatures and humidity. Our volunteers are out ready to serve no matter what the weather! To be ready for anything we are asking for assistance in getting donations of any beverages for our volunteers. Anything will help! Donations can be made at The Duncansville fire department or they can be left by the front door. Remember to stay hydrated during these high heat days and limit time outside during the warmest time of day. As always anything is appreciated!
