We will have a slightly limited menu tomorrow at the Farm during the Dubuque County Tour of Gardens from 9-4pm.
We are also hosting a companion planting workshop (we will discuss the background about this planting process, common companion plants and ACTUALLY plant our experimental garden for the season).

Just a reminder that we will NOT be at the Dubuque Farmers' Market this Saturday. We will be participating in the Dubuque County Tour of Gardens. We hope you join us and we WILL have our market booth set up at the farm, so you can grab all your favorites from us while on the tour.

Though we have not had a great sugar snap pea year, we will have some for the Dubuque Farmers' Market this Saturday. Garlic scapes are also ready! We turned some into garlic powder last year and it was great!
Korrin is almost all set up at Dubuque Farmers' Market, corner of Iowa St. and 12th St. CSA boxes are still available and Tour of Gardens info inside!

We are looking forward to this new opportunity and for a chance to return to community where my family spent almost 20 years and made many fond memories. Thank you River Nights at The Lofts !

🌱 New at the Market: Hakurei Turnips! 🌱
Hey friends! We're excited to bring in a true farmers market favorite this week — Hakurei turnips (also known as Japanese salad turnips)!
These beautiful little white turnips are tender, crisp, and juicy with a mild, slightly sweet flavor — nothing like the strong, bitter turnips you might remember. Many people describe them as having a gentle fruity or buttery taste. They're so delicious you can eat them raw!
How to enjoy them:
Slice thin and toss into salads (they pair amazingly with apples, pears, or fennel)
Eat them whole as a crunchy snack or on a veggie platter
Quickly sauté or roast them with a little butter or olive oil — they caramelize beautifully
Don’t throw away the greens! They’re edible too — sauté them like spinach or add to soups
Limited supply, so come early! These won’t last long.
See you at the market!
I caught her in the act! The smell of fresh cut basil gave her away, lol! Stop down to Dubuque Farmers' Market tomorrow and do some shopping of local vendors!

What happens when you store hay in a "cooler" barn, on pallets, with enough rain to soak through the ground outside and into the ground underneath your hay storage? Yeah, that's an 8"x11" piece of paper... Korrin Schriver blended them up with flour, sugar, and water, let them sit for 2 days at room temp, and now to spread around the farm. EXCELLENT genetics!
