Surf's up at our beach-themed Ranch Horse Show today at DSRP and everyone was "hangin' 10" and havin' FUN!! What? Fun at a horse show?! Talking, laughing, and watching wonderful riders and their beautiful horses. Our kinda fun. 😄 We think all the riders, horses, trainers, family and friends would agree - today's show was "high tides and good vibes" 🌴

Kudos to our two incredible judges who kept the show running like clockwork. Thank you to Greg Dial and Sadie Stockert along with their scribes Jini Berman and Esther Sell for their expertise in what might be the most fast-paced yet relaxing show we've ever experienced.

We can never say enough about our awesome show secretary, Melissa Jefferson, and her show office crew. They are the epitome of a fine-tuned engine and are a huge reason that our shows run so efficiently.

Gratitude to every exhibitor who came to our show - we love you! Thank you too for completing your work-at-will classes in record time.

DSRP Ranch Horse Show is this Saturday! Online entries are closed, but you can register the day of the show. Show starts at 8 AM with Trail / Stock Horse Pleasure classes in the indoor and Ranch Riding in the outdoor arena.

Tomorrow (Friday 6/12) from 1 to 6 PM we'll have the Trail and Stock Horse Pleasure patterns set up in the indoor and the Ranch Riding pattern set up in the outdoor arena for our show exhibitors to practice! Stalls will be ready for move-in tomorrow at noon.

Remember this is our "short sleeve" show - that means Hawaiian and beach-themed shirts, along with sunglasses & leis on humans and horses are welcome and encouraged!

Pig Pen BBQ will be serving breakfast tacos and yummy lunch & snacks. Bring your appetite if you are showing or coming to watch the show. There is no charge for watching the show action - hanging out with beautiful horses and the humans who love them is always a good time!

Our June show features 2 judges / 2 arenas for a fun (and shorter) show day! This is our popular "Short Sleeve" Show and yes, Hawaiian-themed attire and beach-themed tack is encouraged. We even have fun awards for our best-themed riders & horses!

The Ranch Show will start at 8 AM on Saturday in BOTH ARENAS!
INDOOR ARENA: In-Hand Trail, then all the Trail and Stock Horse Pleasure classes running back-to-back. These classes traditionally go until 4 PM.
OUTDOOR ARENA: Ranch Riding and Stock Horse Horsemanship will offer a work-at-will gate but a timeframe will be assigned to complete both of these classes based on the number of entries. We plan on running these classes from 8 AM to 1 PM.
INDOOR ARENA: The final classes of the day will be Ranch Rail Pleasure classes and they will start when our Trail/Pleasure classes are completed.

Don't miss our Pattern Practice on Friday, June 12!
The Trail and Stock Horse Pleasure (signs on the rail) patterns will be set up in the indoor arena for practice from 2 to 6 PM.
Our Ranch Riding pattern will be set up with the walk-over logs in the outdoor arena from 2 to 6 PM. Stalls will be available for move-in beginning at noon, Friday June 12th.

This is our "Short Sleeve Show" for comfort and FUN😊 Yes, Hawaiian and beach-themed shirts are encouraged and there are awards for best show themed turnout!

DSRP Ranch Horse Shows now boast 2 judges. The show will start at 8 AM in the INDOOR ARENA with In-Hand Trail, then all the Trail and Pleasure classes running back-to-back followed by Ranch Rail Pleasure. In the OUTDOOR ARENA we'll run the Ranch Riding and Stock Horse Horsemanship and these classes will be judged with an at-will gate from 8 AM to noon/1 PM. We'll have a timeframe assigned to complete both of these classes (based on entries) and will be making frequent announcements so all riders can compete in their classes and not miss a thing.

Wonderful half-day trail / stock horse pleasure training today with many of our riders from our Saturday Ranch Horse Clinic, along with a number of other folks enjoying the chance to practice trail obstacles and pleasure transition work in advance of our June Ranch Horse Show. Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 13th and watch for our online Entry Form this week!!

Such a terrific ranch horse clinic with Greg Dial today at DSRP! Our clinic filled 3 days after registration opened and every single horse/rider team showed improvement in both Ranch Riding and Stock Horse Horsemanship. Thank you Greg for sharing your your knowledge, skills and gifts with us. Riders and auditors were all gushing about what they learned, their observations, their progress, and the "homework" that we can all use regardless of our disciplines.

Tomorrow from 9 AM to 1 PM we'll have our Trail and Stock Horse Pleasure patterns set up for everyone to practice! Clinic rider fee is $15 for tomorrow's arena work and all other riders will pay $25. Stay as long as you'd like! The trail pattern will be posted at the entrance to the indoor arena. I'll be there from 9 to 10 AM to help anyone who might have questions. It's basically an open arena time for trail / pleasure practice - whoohoooo!

Quick reminder for folks interested in auditing our Ranch Horse Clinic tomorrow at DSRP: Clinic runs from 9 AM to 1 PM and auditing is free. Auditors may sit in the viewing area above the arena or come into the arena with the folks riding in the clinic. Our wonderful clinician and June Ranch Show judge, Greg Dial, will have a microphone so everyone will be able to hear regardless of where you sit. Auditors are encouraged to bring a comfy chair. We also have concessions at DSRP tomorrow if you get hungry or thirsty.

On Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM we will have the Trail and Stock Horse Pleasure (signs on the rail) patterns set up in the indoor for anyone and everyone to ride & practice! Fee for Sunday's practice is $15 if you are riding in the Saturday clinic and $25 for all other riders.
