Most recent batch of cutting boards are done! This walnut wood came from my uncles tree. As a family we cut off the top of the tree that had died and I milled it down into slabs, then boards and then crafted these beautiful boards. The grain in this walnut has a reddish/purple hue that I love. So much richer than the standard stuff I get in stores. What do you think? Two of these three boards are gone.

These large cutting boards are almost done. A bit more sanding and an oil bath.

Turning this beautiful walnut into a few cutting boards today. Two are glued up. Hoping to get them flattened too.

My Dad is the woodworker with the lathe. He asked for some threads so that he could add lids to some of his containers.
