There comes a point when choosing yourself stops feeling selfish and starts feeling necessary. 🤍
6.22- Two birthdays ago, I remember crying and asking God when things would get better.
I couldn’t see the bigger picture.
I couldn’t see what was ahead.
Today, I’m celebrating my birthday in another country on my first solo birthday trip. 🇨🇼🤍
Not because life suddenly became perfect.
But because I kept going.
I kept healing.
I kept choosing myself.
And for the first time in a long time, I’m smiling from a place of gratitude.
Turns out, God was working the whole time. ✨

So much was sent to break me and I ate that.
If you would’ve told me a year ago I’d be spending my birthday in another country by myself, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. 😭🇨🇼
Life isn’t perfect. Not always easy.
But somewhere along the way, I fell in love with myself again.
And that’s been one of the greatest gifts of all. 🇨🇼✨
A year ago I never would’ve imagined this. If you’re in a rebuilding season, keep going. 🤍🇨🇼

Really, I was avoiding rest, support, and some hard conversations.
