Playroom Collective
Toys your child actually comes back to. Curated for independent play, so you can choose better over more.

By August, most toys are in a pile. Forgotten, outgrown, or just never that interesting to begin with.
These ones aren’t.
The Londji puzzle that’s still half-finished on the table. The Bebenita doll whose story keeps changing. The easel that’s drawing something different than it was in June. The ball pit that’s never once been too big or too small.
We didn’t add these because they’re pretty. We added them because they last.
Save this for the toys that are still earning their spot.

They left it half-finished on the table. Three hours later, they were back.
That’s not clutter. That’s an open loop - and the right puzzle is the thing that pulls them back to close it.
At 2, they place by shape. At 4, they build the picture. Same puzzle, different reasons to keep coming back.
Made in Barcelona. FSC-certified recycled paper. Built to outlast more than one summer.

Most parents have never heard of ASTM D-4236. But if your kids use markers, it’s worth knowing about.
Every art supply sold in the US has to conform to this standard. What it actually requires: a certified toxicologist reviews the formula and determines whether any ingredient could cause harm with regular, long-term use.
If something is found, the label has to say so. If nothing is found, there’s nothing to warn about.
The markers included with our Tabletop Easel were reviewed by a board-certified toxicologist. All 6 colors. No hazards found.
Save this - it’s the kind of thing worth knowing before you hand a marker to a three-year-old.

3 surfaces. 1 easel. No dedicated art room required.
Switch between the acrylic board, chalkboard, and whiteboard depending on the mood - then pick it up and move it wherever they are. Kitchen counter while you cook. Living room during family time. Outside on a good day. Back on the shelf when the day is done.
It adapts to your day, not the other way around.

You didn’t have a plan for 9am on a Tuesday in week two of summer. Nobody does.
Here’s what actually works, by age:
1–2: Things they can dump, fill, and carry.
2–3: A doll. A puzzle. Something with a role they can assign. 3–5: Something they can make and show you.
5+: Something they can return to over several days without you setting it back up.
You don’t have to orchestrate any of it. You just have to set it up.

Day one of summer. No camp. No plans. Just a kid who doesn’t know what to do with themselves yet.
That’s not a problem to solve. That’s the on-ramp.
The right setup helps. Everything else takes care of itself.
You’re allowed to let summer be unstructured. No judgment here.
Save this for when you need the reminder.
Honorable mention: being told “you’re not my best friend anymore” over the wrong color cup.

Every parent has been there. The meltdown that comes out of nowhere. The big feeling your child can’t name, can’t explain, and definitely can’t manage on their own yet.
Here’s something worth knowing: certain toys are quietly doing emotional work every time they’re played with. Not because they’re labeled “therapeutic” or come with an instruction manual, but because of what they ask a child to do.
Name a feeling. Make a sound. Slow down. Take control of something. Follow a ritual.
5 toys that help kids handle big feelings - without you having to do it for them. Swipe to see how each one works.
