We (my husband, young daughter and myself) have been going to this establishment for 3 years now. We left the prior place we were going to because Finestkind kind has beautifully trimmed Trees, and the service there is so friendly.
So.....
On are second attempt to get there before dark and closing, and leaving work earlie again, we make it. I go inside to pay to cut a tree. The lady looks at me and says "Oh I'm sorry, but we only allow tree cutting on Saturday's and Sunday's and this Sunday is the last day. I explain to the lady my predicament, and you can see she has sympathy for my situation, but says we can come back Saturday or Sunday. I ho to talk to my husband, we got back in an politely ask again . The lady says "well here's the owner right here, you can talk to him. The guy with a smile and walking behind the desk with a chuckle, says "I mean, that's the rules and i can't change them." But " you can go look at the precut ones that were cut this morning." We agreed to atheist go look. 7½ ft tree $58 DOLLARS!
I walk back inside and say" No thank you, I guess we will go somewhere else for a tree. Now being nearly 4 everyplace is either closed or going to be before we get there.
I then go back to the truck, and have to explain to my daughter that they won't let us cut tree today.
So thank you to the owner of Finestkind, our daughter was so excited to cut a tree down, she left in tears.
Politics aside; we are honored for this new tradition of our Champion 🎄 Christmas Trees being featured in the State Capital in the Blaine House. Congratulations to the producer of these beautiful trees Finestkind Tree Farms! What a neat way to spotlight our prize winning exhibitors. 🏅
This afternoon, I welcomed the official Blaine House Christmas trees, which were grown by Finestkind Tree Farms, a family-owned tree farm in Dover-Foxcroft. Finestkind’s Christmas trees won both the People's Choice Christmas Tree exhibition, chosen by fairgoers, and the Grand Champion Christmas Tree, chosen by judges, at this year’s Fryeburg Fair. Every year moving forward, the Blaine House will feature the winner or winners of these two categories. My congratulations and thanks to Finestkind, and I encourage all Maine people to visit the Maine Christmas Tree Association website —mainechristmastree.com — to find a map of local Maine farms where you can choose and cut your own Christmas Tree, supporting our small businesses this holiday season.
