How do you bear fruit for God? It’s fruit, not fruits. Singular, not plural. The Spirit grows it; you don’t manufacture it. Let’s unpack the powerful simplicity of Galatians 5:22-23 in this thread. Ever seen an apple tree try to grow apples? Of course not. Trees bear fruit because it’s in their DNA. The same goes for you in Christ. The fruit of the Spirit isn’t about effort—it’s about connection. Love, joy, peace, patience… notice Paul doesn’t call them “fruits.” Why? Because it’s one beautiful, unified work of the Spirit—like light shining through a prism, reflecting every color. The fruit of the Spirit isn’t your to-do list. When you’re connected to Jesus and simply trusting Him, the fruit naturally shows up—whether you're at work, home, or bingeing your favorite TV show. Holy living isn’t about cranking out good behavior. The Spirit isn’t a taskmaster; He’s a life-giver. Your job? Remember you’re rooted in Christ, and the fruit will come. No spiritual sweat required. Every move you make today—every email, every meal, every conversation—can be infused with the fruit of the Spirit. Why? Because it’s Christ expressing Himself through you. He’s compatible with every moment. So, stop trying to produce fruit. Instead, bear it. The fruit of the Spirit is proof of His life in you, not the result of your striving. Relax in Him, and watch what happens!
