Yesterday afternoon, if any of you heard those fire truck sirens blaring down the road in Dittmer, that was us. Our electric smokehouse caught on fire and is now out of commission until March, possibly longer than that. It cannot be fixed, which means it has to be replaced, and they don’t make them until you order them.

We are all safe but crushed because we were truly hoping to get everyone their products before Christmas.

What does that mean for our current deer customers and later on?

We are working on a possibility to either borrow a smoker or hoping that the company that builds it can make us a priority. We’ll keep you posted.

Otherwise, anyone who ordered smoked products such as snack sticks, summer sausage, and jerky (yes, jerky falls under that category, just different setting), will sadly not receive those. Please spread the word and share the post so people know. We will call everyone who asked for those particular products or you can call us, but we’ll get through this.

There will be a lot of apologizing and explaining, and probably some people won’t be happy about this, but there’s nothing we can do to fix the problem at hand right this second. It will take time and we truly hope people will understand.

We have taken in a large amount of deer this weekend and won’t be able to take any more in until Thursday. Please, if you or anyone you know, is considering dropping off a deer with us before then, let them know that we won’t be able to take it in until Thursday. We apologize for the inconvenience but we sadly don’t have any more room to store deer until we process some of the ones already taken in. Thank you for your understanding.

You'll be everyone's best friend when you have us make your deer into some mouthwatering jerky. Be sure to add some onto your order when you drop off your deer, your mouth will thank you! Extended hours starting this Saturday, from 8am to 8pm everyday all the way to November 23rd.

Now that the nights are colder, deer drop off at our Dittmer location has long begun. Good size deer, too! If you’re unfamiliar with our hours, please call ahead before stopping by since our regular hours have changed.

During rifle season, we will be open every day, 8 AM - 8 PM, then back to regular work hours again.

Remember, we only take deer in at our Dittmer location. Feel free to call us with any questions.

Hey, folks!

There are still a few spots available for beef processing for September/October so now would be a time to schedule that appointment. Otherwise you’ll have to wait until February.

Also, we have a few more beef available for sale for September and six more for October. If your freezer is getting low on meat, call us to reserve that half or whole. $4 per lb for processing.

If you only need burger/ground beef, we will have some available this upcoming week. Ground beef is $4.50 per lb. not to forget, bacon! $6 per lb… get it while we still have some.

Be safe out there, drink plenty of water, and stay out of this heat if you can. ❤️ Don’t worry though, deer season and cold weather are right around the corner. 😉🦌

Running low on meat? 🥩 Reserve half a side of beef or a whole beef while supplies last.

30 beef available, whole or half, $4 per lb. Hanging weight runs between 300-400 lb on half, 600-800 on a whole beef. First batch of 10 beef will be processed in August, the next 10 in September, and the last 10 in October.

If you are interested, please message us your phone number, what you wish to order (half/whole beef), and best time to reach you. First come, first serve. We will call you this upcoming week to take your order and walk you through the cut sheet instructions.

Deposit is $500 for half a beef, $1000 for a whole beef.

No hog sale at this time.

Happy thanksgiving from all of us at Dittmer Meat! We hope you get to enjoy it with your family - we’re lucky and all of us work together so we get to spend this day off surrounded by our loved ones.

Starting tomorrow, since we’re closed today, We are returning to our regular scheduled hours and will continue to take in deer up until December 23rd.

🦌 Deer Season Update 🦌

We will start taking in deer on Saturday, November 14th. For Rifle Season we will be OPEN all ten (10) days, 8 am - 8 pm. After that, we will go back to our regular scheduled hours, Monday’s off.

For those of you who have frozen, quartered deer waiting to be dropped off, if possible, please wait after the first 10 days to drop them off for smoother transaction.

🦌 Deer Season Update 🦌

While we are thrilled to be somewhat caught up and our schedule has returned to a more normal look, we wanted to let you know that we will take in deer 🦌 during rifle season ONLY, from November 14th through November 24th.

Basic processing is set at $100 per deer.

We understand that many of our customers hunt throughout the whole deer season and we apologize for this inconvenience in advance.
