Congratulations to Nicki Rusinack finishing her 5th Marine Corps Marathon (virtual but practically the same course!) today in tough humid weather for October! She came all the way from Seattle to complete the virtual MCM!

Runner Profile: Sean Napier 05/13/2020

Below is a write up of a runner I've been coaching for a year and a half, Sean Napier. Sean had an outstanding 2019 year, and is training well right now. In 2019, he PR'd in 7 race distances all between the mile and the marathon, and got onto the MCRRC racing team.

Runner Profile: Sean Napier In the fall of 2018, I started coaching Sean Napier. Sean came with a good background of solid running and workouts under his belt. A...

Today CSPR ran for Maud. Maud was a runner, and I am sure a wonderful person. We are hurt that his life was taken, and want to send a message that we run with him in spirit. There are many problems we need to fix in this country. Rest in peace Maud, may you continue to run where problems cease to exist. Thanks to Silvia for putting together the runs.

Just passed the TFTC to become USTFCCCA certified! This is my 3rd certification in addition to USATF & RRCA.
At the end of May, I am taking the USTFCCCA Endurance Event Specialist Certification which is a 36 hour detailed course on distance running (virtually). Super excited to be in this course and to develop more knowledge as a distance coach!

Lea Vikke surprised herself this morning by maintaining 8:52 pace for the 26.2 distance, finishing in 3:52! Not surprised at all, as I know she has a lot more in her and she has begun to see how strong of a runner she really is! If today was a race, she would have destroyed her marathon PR of well over 4 hours. She ran today to inspire others who are struggling through tough times. Lea is one of the kindest human beings I've met. I am excited to see what she can do when races return!

Racing Shoes: 2010 to 2020, the Evolution of my choice in footwear 04/14/2020

Racing shoes blog post, 2010 - 2020. Up next in the blog is Sean Napier's 2019 year.

Runner Profile: Louise Kelley 04/03/2020

Louise Kelley was looking forward to the World Masters Championships this summer in Toronto. She is the 2019 Silver Medalist (age 55-59 category) in the USATF Championships Outdoor 1500m & Indoor Mile, and the Bronze Medalist in the Indoor 800m.

Here is a new blog post of her profile, and what changes I have needed to make as a coach for her in 2020.
