Merry Christmas everyone!

Noticed these monuments when we visited the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.

Another day another job… or two.

Just because a fence post has flagging doesn’t mean it’s the monument. If the deed calls out a 1/2 inch rebar trust your gut and dig around.

Quick trip out to finish another project and I was rewarded with this view.

Made it up to the top of the summit and all I found was the reference mark. Note to self... next time do you research before you do your fieldwork. Especially when it’s family time.

Can’t beat the view from today’s job.

As a Land Surveyor, I am retained to locate and mark property lines and sometimes mediate between two disgruntled neighbors. I read the following today and it made me think, what if everyone lived with this view? I might not have a job anymore but then I think of all the other amazing projects I get to work on and the satisfaction they bring. Hopefully your project doesn’t involve a disgruntled neighbor or you aren’t the disgruntled neighbor but if so call me and I can help or at least tell you which side of the line to stay on.

For example, stories of love, art, dreams of my childhood.
No, stop pursuing wealth, it can only make a person into a twisted being, just like me.
God has made us one way, we can feel the love in the heart of each of us, and not illusions built by fame or money, like I made in my life, I cannot take them with me.
I can only take with me the memories that were strengthened by love.
This is the true wealth that will follow you; will accompany you, he will give strength and light to go ahead.
Love can travel thousands of miles and so life has no limits. Move to where you want to go. Strive to reach the goals you want to achieve. Everything is in your heart and in your hands.
What is the world's most expensive bed? The hospital bed.
You, if you have money, you can hire someone to drive your car, but you cannot hire someone to take your illness that is killing you.
Material things lost can be found. But one thing you can never find when you lose: life.
Whatever stage of life where we are right now, at the end we will have to face the day when the curtain falls.
Please treasure your family love, love for your spouse, love for your friends...
Treat everyone well and stay friendly with your neighbors.

What a great way to serve in the military, train to become a land surveyor, get money for college and so many other amazing benefits. Let me know if you are thinking about joining and I will answer your questions from my perspective as a Marine and a Professional Land Surveyor.

Often times after I give a potential client an estimate to survey their property they ask “why it costs as much or state they only want to know approximately where their line is” and to that I say... I am a licensed land surveyor and it is my ethical duty to perform each and every survey to the best of my abilities without room for compromise and if someone is willing to do it for less I am fine with that because I know my standards won’t be shaken because I accepted a job for less and want to rush through it to get on to the next job.
