My favorite part of being a burlesque performer- and I mean my ✨️favorite✨️ part- is when larger bodied femmes connect with me after a show. Sometimes, like last night, it's quiet and in passing because we were both taught to not take up space. It's in that pause, in the beaming in their eyes, in the mountain of meaning I can feel when she says "You were my favorite" or the most earnest "thank you" you've ever heard. I do it for the me I see in them, I do it so she can see her potential is INFINITE.

To the lady at TeaseAGoGo, I want you know to know I saw you beaming and I saw how your friends cheered you on. I may have only thanked you and winked, but I hope you felt my mountain of meaning, too. I do it for you. You're my favorite part.

If you get a chance to walk into a frozen lake and test your mettle, do it. This was an act of ancestral veneration through art and action and top 3 photoshoots I've ever done.

I love this time of year. Something inside me comes alive as the world descends into darkness and its cycle of death and rebirth. Doing magick all night at has me feeling absolutely invigorated and aligned.

Fascism requires uniformity and control of the masses (hegemony). The policing of diverse bodies, the fraudulently imposed morality associated with depictions of 'health' (no health measure can be gauged by looking at a person's form), trends in making people -especially women and femmes- smaller, and systemic food scarcity alongside the gouging of healthcare access are all modalities of fascism. Fatphobia is fascist.

I am in love with this act and how much I get to say with it. I'm so excited to continue working on it. I am so grateful to Midwest Nerdlesque for allowing me to bring this act to their stage and giving me a platform to be a Rebel Girl.
