Beacon Foundation & Muslim Community of Western Suburbs are excited to host Hajji Noor Deen, a world-renowned Master Islamic Calligrapher, for a 2-Day intensive workshop at Medina Activity Center on Jan 25th &26th.
He will be teaching two separate tracks, Thuluth&Naskh and Arabic Calligraphy in the Chinese Script (ACCS). Registration required. Cost will include materials and small group instruction in the traditional Islamic sacred arts method.

Umair Haseeb is a native Chicagoan who has been working in Islamic education and community for over a decade. His passion for learning led him to study with local scholars and eventually to embark on a journey to receive his Alimiyyah from The Qarawiyyin in Fes, Morocco. He is currently pursuing graduate studies in Usul al-Fiqh (Legal Theory) from Al Azhar University, Cairo. Upon his return stateside, he began to work as a chaplain at Cook County Correctional and an Imam at Chicago Islamic Center under the auspices of Shaykh Muhammad Al Imam. He also served as the Religious Director at Ta'leef where he still currently teaches.
