It’s the Battle of the Rainbow Ridge Scarves! 🌈
Are you Team Color Block, or Team Multi? 🤔 It’s always interesting to see how different yarns work up in the same pattern. The Rainbow Ridge Scarf is perfect for using up leftovers, or really making the most of chunky yarns 😍

What started 2 weeks ago as an excuse to use up an advent has become one of my favorite makes of all time. With my trusty sidekick, Pepperoni, keeping me company, I breezed through the granny squares and the joining went crazy fast (thanks to a tutorial from 🌟). From there was an eternity of slip stitch ribbing 🫠 and a final block.
I decided to call this the Rose Cardigan because the gorgeous border color, Elm from , made this explosion of color look like a beautiful bouquet. TBH, I wasn’t seeing the vision when I first pulled this advent from my stash. There seems to be every color of the rainbow here 🫣 But I trusted the process and the result is a million times better than I hoped 🤩
I’ll share the Rose Cardigan on my blog… eventually. I’ve got a delightful schedule of releases in meantime. But this won’t be a graded pattern. Instead, it’ll be a “project” - I’ll tell you how I did it, and you make the necessary adjustments for your project. Make sure you’re on my email list to be the first to know 🥳

This snowy Saturday has me weaving in the ends of SIXTY-FIVE granny squares 😵‍💫 My next Bingo Card project will use up the mini skeins from my 2024 LolaBean Yarn Co. advent. It was sneaker themed, and the colors are poppin 🌈 I added a few more colors from my stash and have just enough squares to bring a long time dream to life 🤩

2025 MOOD BLANKET • JANUARY
Was January not the longest year ever? 😵‍💫 I picked quite a time to switch from documenting temperature to tracking my moods in blanket form. The start of the year was amazing - languid days and inspiration flowing like water 😌
Then the inauguration hit and I allowed myself to acknowledge that I was not alright. Each day since has been a rollercoaster of misinformation, lies, and attempts to undermine all the beautiful things that made me truly proud to be an America.
These next four years are gonna try us. Which makes it that much more important to cling to our communities and do our own fact checking. I regretted starting this for a couple days, but now I’m clinging to it like a life raft 🥰

Week 1 brought us 185+ beautiful projects at every stage from planning to blocking. Congrats to .n.spock for winning the first prize of our CAL, a Rancher Shawl yarn + pattern kit, with hand dyed yarn from .crochet 🥳
Our Week 2 prize is close to my heart. It wasn’t until I tried Clover crochet hooks that I realized I actually *love* to crochet 🤩 They’re so smooth and feel like an extension of my own hand. Now that I’ve made on in color order, maybe the next will be alphabetical order. Or lightest to darkest. Or totally random!! Either way, I have a feeling this will be on repeat 🙌🏾

This adorable teddy bear snuggle blanket is heading off to my beautiful new friend very soon. Thanks for inspiring me to try a new yarn and design, and helping me tick off my first box on my Yarny Bingo card. We’re starting the year off strong 💪🏾
I got several requests to publish this pattern after sharing it in my stories last night. There’s a lot on the to-do list right now, but I’ll do my best. In the meantime - make a square, put a smaller square on top and seam it into a hood, then plop two half circles on top. How’s that for a pattern? Pepper seems to like it, at least😅🤎

Here’s how my In Between Week is going 🐾
I had no idea there was a name for the days between Christmas and New Years. I’ve seen Twixmas, Christmastide, Boxing Week, and Christmas Octave. Considering there is absolutely *nothing* being accomplish (except my WIPs 🥳), I’ll keep calling it the In Between 😋 Are you getting anything done as we count down to the new year?🥂
I did finish this adorable stash busting granny blanket. It’s made with Cascata and a 6mm hook. And it’s Pepper Approved! 🐶
