It’s hard to explain what SWFest has come to mean for all of us. Not only as an organizing committee, but as a community as a whole. On a personal level, it marks the beginning of what has been two of the most challenging years for us as an organization. Losing our founder, and father, Ismael Duran immediately after the first festival in 2021. Pero hemos persistido. Still we persist. And FLOURISH. Letting his example and all the skills we learned from him fuel us as we keep evolving this work; with and for community. Feeling our way thru loss with a celebration of all of who we are and what we stand for. So let’s go, year three!!!! We can’t wait to celebrate all of you!!! Nos vemos ahí familia ❤️✊🏼🖤
