Yesterday was the best day 💙💙💙
Because of our news coverage from and We were able to find our anonymous “Avalon angels” Otis and Darnell - the wonderful guys who came and cleaned the graffiti off our building. 🥲Thank you to Detroit Blight Removal! We now have a contact if we should ever need anything! Our work is not always easy….but no matter what we’re here for survivors 💯 and these folks sure did put a smile on our faces - reminding us that we’re not alone in this fight. Community is everything ❤️

💙💙💙 Thank you SASHA Center for your support and standing with us!
We at SASHA Center stand in full support of Avalon Healing Center after the deeply offensive and harmful graffiti attack on their building. The message, "I love when I am not asked," is a direct insult to the very foundation of consent, and we wholeheartedly condemn this vile act.
This hurtful statement is a reminder of the critical work we must continue doing in our community. Consent is not just the absence of a "no"; it’s the presence of a clear, enthusiastic "yes." Consent is about mutual respect, communication, and autonomy, and we must ensure that everyone understands what it is—and what it is not.
At SASHA Center, through our satellite office, SASHA Lane, we join Avalon Healing Center in standing against this behavior. We also see this as an opportunity to further conversations about consent in our community.
We encourage everyone to support this important work by donating to both Avalon Healing Center and SASHA Center so that we can continue to educate, heal, and advocate for survivors. Your support ensures that we can keep our communities safe, informed, and empowered. Let’s stand together in solidarity.
