Last Saturday ended up being beautiful weather with a nice sunset and great vibe. A good number of people showed up and the skating was on. Thank you to everyone who came to the Skate Jams this summer, the DJs and live musicians who played, Jean-Marie for the beautiful mobiles and Amy for providing overall support and foundation for the event!
We might do the event over the course of 4 Saturdays in a row during the month of September or October in 2026, to hopefully have better weather the whole way through.

Funk House Summer Jam season finale is happening this Saturday 9/20! Looks like the weather will be perfect, with a little rain in the afternoon but clearing up before the event. Bringing the full sound system for the 1st time this season: Steve Tyler and friends will be playing live @ 7pm, Cdiziac @ 8pm, Laird & Kelix playing before and after. Jean-Marie bringing her mobiles, art by Amy Putney ... free hot tea for all to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our thought for 2026 is to do the events back-to-back over the course of a month, possibly October, in hopes of softer weather and a month of solid fun.
All you rockers and rollers out there, due to another day of extreme heat we have decided with DM Park and Rec to hold off on today's event (Sat. Aug. 16). Our 1st priority is always the comfort and well being of attendees and staff, and with the projection of 96 + 10 degrees of real feel, it's simply hotter then seems a good idea. We hope to see in September for this season's finale ... with all the DJs and Steve Tyler performing live.
We are thinking of having these event in April or May, and September or October next year so we can have nothing but nice weather days (fingers crossed)! We apologize for any inconvenience and really want to jam out with you! Be well, and until soon.
