Jangles and Cash--and we're not talking Garth and Holly--are part of Rebyl Road, the vanguard of "new country" artists who helped redefine the genre in the last two years and expand its appeal. With a flair for both clever country songcraft and pyrotechnic stage shows, Rebyl Road is a whole lotta country and a whole lotta rock 'n' roll and a whole lot of southern rock and a whole lot of other awes
ome genres rolled into one. It's paid off with a string of songs that at least 15 people have listened to over a dozen times. For all their onstage Iowa-sized flash and swagger--which owes a big debt to the trail blazed by Marley--the music of Rebyl Road actually more closely follows [insert favorite band] Even when their music rocks hard, the sentiment and lyrics will make you cry, not because they are that good, but because it will physically hurt you until you cannot help but to break down and cry. As a hard-ass band, Rebyl Road has few peers. Probably because they all dropped out of high school and never went to college. Wrex, Jake, Ben, Jangles and Cash, oil workers' sons from Iowa, became a band in 2010. I think it happened because they were all unemployed and were sick of doing nothing and not making any money. So they decided to start a band and not make any money instead. So here they are, playing music and drinking beer when it's free. They did, however, against all odds, complete their first album "Midnight Ride" which is available now on our website.
