DPW will be starting the 1st phase of milling on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

Streets being done:

Olmstead: from Transit to Bridge

Brewster: Olmstead to end

Rumford: Olmstead to end

Tyler: Olmstead to end

Burlington: Walden to Warner

Harlan: Walden to Burlington

Ashford: Warner to Columbia

During the milling process, you will have access to your driveway, except for the short period that the milling machine is running in front of your home.

We hope to have the streets paved as soon as possible after the milling process.

There will be no access to your street for the day that we are top coating (paving) your street. We will have road barricades in place while the road is being paved and while it is hardening. Access will resume once the barricades are removed.

As always, we are asking residents for their patience throughout this process, especially when paving is being done. The less traffic on the street that day, the better.

If you have any questions, please contact the DPW at 716-683-5700.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch

215 PM EDT WED JUN 1 2022

Possible storms later. Here is the latest from the NWS.

Severe thunderstorms will be possible today for most of the area. First this morning for the North Country, and then in the afternoon and evening for the entire area as a cold front tracks across WNY and the North Country.

Take a moment to remember all that gave everything. Have a great and safe day everyone.

Here comes the heat! Just a friendly reminder to put extra water out for your pets if they are outside, and definitely do not leave them in your car! Stay safe and have a great day everyone.

There is relatively high confidence that a big change in the overall weather pattern will support a period of very warm, if not hot and somewhat oppressive, weather across our region...starting on Memorial Day and persisting into the start of June. An anomalously strong ridge over the Ohio valley would be the culprit for the mid summer warmth.

Timeline photos 05/21/2022

Latest from the N.W.S about the possible storm this evening.

There is a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms across our entire area from late this afternoon through early Sunday morning. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts and locally heavy rainfall with a lower risk of large hail. Stay weather aware and have a way to receive any warnings that may be issued.

Will be a great time! Hope to see you there!

Village Hall and each of the other Village Departments will be closed on Monday May 16th, 2022 from 9AM to 1PM so that our employee "family" can attend the funeral services of Depew Police Lt. Jeff Gorski. Please keep the family and friends of Lt. Gorski in your prayers during this difficult time.

Our condolences to his family and loved ones. Lt. Gorski was truly a great man, officer and friend. You will be missed by all that knew you. RIP

It is with profound sadness that the Depew Police Department announces the sudden passing of Lieutenant Jeff Gorski. Lt. Gorski was sworn in on February 1, 1997 and has served the DPD and the Village of Depew for over twenty-five (25) years. Beginning his career as a Patrolman, Lt. Gorski served in various positions including Rangemaster, Fi****ms Instructor, Patrol Supervisor, and Traffic Safety Coordinator. We kindly ask that you keep the family, friends and coworkers of Lt. Gorski in your thoughts and prayers.

Rest easy Lieutenant Gorski. We have the watch from here.

Thoughts and prayers for all that are affected by today's tragedy.

Will be a great summer of music, fun and warm nights.

Widespread snow will transition to lake effect snow SE of both lakes today. Additionally winds will pick up today with gusts of 40 to 45 mph lasting through tonight. Overall, quite a chilly day is on tap with wind chills dropping to below zero. As snow falls today, please send us your reports!

Active weather this evening through Saturday night. Effective immediately, the overnight parking ban is lifted. Please keep in mind, should we have a significant snow event, the parking ban will be reinstated so plows can clear the streets.
