K9 Global Rescue

The Good News: We just received 8 tons of wet dog and cat food which will be delivered to the WOW shelter in Vinnytsia for us to deliver throughout Ukraine! On top of that, we are arranging a dedicated truck for our October journey to accompany us to deliver vital supplies to shelters and sanctuaries in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Snovsk, Slavutych, and Chernihiv before winter sets in.

Getting this life-saving aid into Ukraine isn't free.

We need to raise $2,500 to cover transport costs from Germany and get the 8 tons of food delivered to Vinnytsia before our arrival.

We can’t do this without you. 100% of your donation goes directly toward transport and delivery costs.

September 11, 2001
Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

We remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military personnel, search-and-rescue teams, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger when others were running away.

And we remember the K9s.

The courageous search-and-rescue dogs who climbed through the rubble, searched tirelessly for survivors, and helped bring hope to a place filled with unimaginable loss. They worked beside their handlers, often exhausted, injured, and surrounded by devastation, never questioning what was being asked of them.

They were not simply working dogs.

They were heroes.

We remember the families who lost loved ones. We remember the first responders who never came home. And we remember the thousands who carried the physical and emotional scars of that day long after the dust settled.

For those of us dedicated to rescue and service, September 11th is more than a date on the calendar. It is a reminder of what it means to answer the call when someone needs help.

At K9 Global Rescue, we believe every life matters, human and animal. Our K9s have continued that legacy of service in disasters, conflict zones, and communities around the world.

Whether searching for someone trapped after a disaster or helping an animal that has been abandoned in the aftermath of war, the mission remains the same:

Go where we are needed.
Help those who cannot help themselves.
And never stop caring.

Today, we honor those we lost, those who served, the K9s who stood beside them, the handlers who trusted them, and the families who have carried that loss for 25 years.

We remember.
We honor.
We will never forget. 🇺🇸🐾

We need flea, tick, and heartworm prevention to deliver on our next trip to Ukraine in October. You can help give urgently needed treatments to dogs and cats throughout Ukraine. This is one of our highest ongoing operational needs. Ticks and mosquitoes in field environments carry debilitating diseases, and a simple monthly dose makes all the difference in saving a dog's life.

We’ve set up a direct Amazon Wishlist packed with the exact flea, tick, and heartworm preventative medications our medical and field teams need right now. Purchasing directly off our wishlist sends these vital supplies straight to our logistics staging area so they can be deployed directly into the field.

Whether you can send a single treatment or a multi-pack, every box directly protects a rescue in need.

Thank you for standing with us and helping the dogs and cats.

To Rob and Tegan, owners of the historic RedStone Theater thank you for opening your hearts and doors and giving us such a wonderful venue to share our Dog Warriors movie. Your hospitality made the evening truly special.

To everyone at Best Friends Animal Society, thank you for showing up, supporting the event, and the warm welcome you gave the K9 Global Rescue team at your incredible sanctuary. Getting to spend time with your team and seeing the work you do was an unforgettable experience.

And most importantly, thank you to film producer/director and “ for making the film and allowing us to use it to bring support and awareness to this issue. And to Lyn Rosa and Janette Warren without whose support the film never would have been made

Events like this remind us of what can happen when passionate people come together for a common purpose.
