Food Daddy

Nightmare fuel.
We need to talk about the embarrassing state of food “influencers.” 🛑🥖
Part 5 of the Denver Banh Mi tour started with a rant.
I’m over seeing grown adults spit food out for clicks or glaze mediocre restaurants just because the meal was free. I buy my own food, and I give you the unfiltered truth.
The truth today? Banh Mi Station near the University of Denver is incredible. The Lemongrass Pork is a solid 9.3/10, and their Fried Chicken Banh Mi is an absolute banger.
Stop trusting the fakes. Support the real, local spots. Tell ‘em Food Daddy sent ya. Peace and bacon grease. 🥓

Do not let them destroy Denver’s best Banh Mi. 🚨🥖
Part 4 of the tour brought us to Ba Le Sandwich at the Asia Center. I ate this in a literal May blizzard, and it scored a 9.8/10. It is the cheapest, freshest, and most perfectly balanced sandwich on the tour.
But developers are planning to demolish this entire historic Asian food center. We are losing our authentic food culture to generic office buildings, and it has to stop.

Do not sleep on this Vietnamese bodega.
We just hit a 9.3/10 on the Denver Banh Mi Tour. 🥖🔥
CoNu’s Corner is the definition of a hidden gem. You walk in for some Vietnamese coffee and realize they may be serving up the best Banh Mi in the city.
The house-baked bread is flawless, and the grilled pork is next-level moist.
This is a 9.3/10, and it just took the number 1 spot on the tour.

The Denver Banh Mi Tour continues, and we just hit a massive 9.2/10. 🥖🔥
New Saigon Bakery on Federal is an absolute legend in the Denver food scene. The grilled pork is incredible, but the reason they got a 9.2 is the bread. That crackly, light, airy baguette is as close to perfect as it gets.
If you haven’t been here, you are missing out. Tell ‘em Food Daddy sent ya. Peace and bacon grease. 🥓

Welcome to Mile High Asain Food Week and Welcome to Part 1 of my official Denver Banh Mi Tour. 🥖🔥
Baker’s Palace on Federal Blvd is setting a very high bar. The grilled pork Banh Mi has that perfect, shatteringly crisp crust with a chewy center, but the real secret here is the dessert case. You won’t find authentic Chè Chuối (sweet banana pudding) at most spots in the city. The owner was incredible, and the food is legit. 8.9/10.
If you know a spot that can beat this, drop it below.

Headed back to Denver from New Orleans and I thought I would share my Number One tip for traveling comfortably with your small children.
Send this to the friend who is always broke but always hungry. This is the ultimate Lakewood hidden gem. 👑🌯
$3 for a breakfast burrito is basically unheard of, but Maria Elena’s Mexican Restaurant in Lakewood is doing it right.
This is a true family-run operation—husband, wife, daughter, and father-in-law on the grill. The green chili is legit, and it’s wrapped in tin foil, just like a real burrito should be.
8.4/10.
Stop eating generic garbage and go support the locals. Tell ‘em Food Daddy sent ya. Peace and bacon grease. 🥓
