Meet the heart behind Sonas Capital Partners 💙

Hi! I’m Makenzie, Co-founder of Sonas Capital Partners, nurse by trade, and lover of all things health, wellness, and financial literacy.

I was raised in the Outer Banks of North Carolina — and it was my dad who sparked my curiosity in college around money and investing. While that seed was planted young, my path led me first into Nursing, where I found deep purpose in serving and caring for others.

Over time, I realized that financial literacy and physical health were my favorite things to talk, teach, and learn about and most people don’t get the support or education they need to thrive. Also, for some, talking about money or investing can sometimes seem taboo or "scary". I am here to assure you, learning about how to use money and make it work for you is one of the most liberating things you can do!

My goal is to help regular people build wealth and diversify their investments through passively investing in apartments, while creating more freedom and opportunity for their future.

Oh yeah, somewhere on a travel nurse assignment in the mountains in Asheville NC, I met my now-fiancé and co-founder, Sam ❤️

👋 Hey, I’m Sam—one of the co-founders of Sonas Capital Partners. I grew up in North Carolina, where I made some of my best memories and (even better) met the love of my life and now business partner, Makenzie. More on her soon!

I studied business at Appalachian State (go APP!) and completely fell in love with the mountains. Most of my free time was spent hiking, golfing, fishing, and camping with friends—still some of my favorite things to do today.

Since meeting Makenzie, life has been full of adventure. We’ve traveled, explored, and eventually landed in Colorado where we get to live out our love for the outdoors every day. We’re building a life we love and a future we’re proud of—for us, our family, and hopefully helping others do the same along the way.

Motivation feels good—but it’s not reliable.
Some days you’ll be fired up. Other days… not so much.

That’s where commitment steps in.
Because success isn’t about doing the hard thing once.
It’s about doing it again and again—even when you’re tired, uncertain, or just not feeling it.
