Denver Cake Company is 10! For anyone who doesn’t know me, my name is Amy. I am the owner, baker, delivery driver, dishwasher, doer of all things, for Denver Cake Co. In honor of 10 years of business, here are 10 facts about me.

1. I grew up in Idaho, 30 miles from the Canadian border
2. Denver has been my home for 14 years
3. I live here with my husband and 2 dogs
4. Denver Cake Co’s color is purple because of my love of huckleberries
5. I once voluntarily jumped out of an airplane
6. My first job at 15, was shearing Christmas trees with a machete
7. I have been a Denver Broncos fan my whole life
8. My favorite food is broccoli
9. I have been to 45 states and hoping to visit the last 5 soon
10. There were several moments that eventually led me to become a cake artist, but the main one was making my nieces’ 1st birthday cake in 2012 (last photo). It was such a joy to create something special for her, and I feel the same way every time I get to make something for all of you 💜

I have had the pleasure of making many cakes for the amazing team over the past couple years. This one was really special because it was for the birthday of the owner, Ellie. Her team wanted a white teddy bear cake wearing a green buttercream SLA robe. So cute!
