Chamisa being the indigenous bushy vegetation in the Southwest. We all know and love the Gorge. This is from a photo I took on the side of the highway between Colorado and New Mexico. This painting is special and I know it will be appreciated.

Monument Valley in the high desert. So hot this summer the desert is all I'm thinking about. My Father recently gave me a larger collection of photos from one of his trips here, along with his buddy Bill Reese.

So hot out all I can think about is the desert. The foreground has some green. Before it dries and everything is dust the colors are amazing.

Fall Lake Colors - 14x14, gouache on linen.
I'm very excited to work on different surfaces because they produce different results. The linen seems to soften the overall painting yet the colors remain dynamic. New and available, please DM me.

Alpha Buffalo - 14x18,Watercolor. I was debating putting more work in on this piece but I think I'll stop here. Painting Buffaloes is fascinating in that they don't always work out. As a Colorado Native and a CU Alum I will always paint and sculpt these incredible creatures.
