Claire Drewes and Bert returned to the show ring in style this last week at COJT Summer 1. This pair ended their successful week with a win in the Low Child and Adult Hunter Classic with a total score of 166! It’s so nice to see them back in the show ring shining.

Jeremy Duerksen and Mount Chavanaux of Cedar Vale Farm moved up to the .90m jumpers this week finishing with a 2nd place in the .95m Stake!

While CHJA has long hosted the CHJA Medal Finals for Equitation riders, we are now thrilled to offer a new final for Hunters and Jumpers as well!

2025 was definitely a year to remember. As year end awards are in, I’ll be recognizing others horses’ achievements as well, but want to start with a pretty special one. Quirock or Rock for short, topped the standings for National Hunter Derby Horse in Zone 8 this season as well as finishing 48th in the country. Rock also earned top honors in the CHJA 3’3 Performance Working Hunter. His consistency throughout the year was unparalleled, winning two derbies, and a 2nd and 3rd place in others. I can’t thank Kendra Alcock (owner) and Molly Rinedollar (trainer) enough for the ride on Rock and so proud of him for learning the hunter job over the last couple years.

If 80% of success is just showing up, why not show up fully and aim for 100%?
