As our resident manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our 27-unit motel, including managing contracted housekeeping and maintenance staff. You will establish your roots in the community by living in the beautiful onsite manager's home. Your 5+ years of hotel operations experience has honed your ability to direct and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously with the goal of creating the ultimate guest experience. Additionally, you will be trusted to oversee general contractors hired to renovate the motel, allowing you to bring in better visitors and offer a truly great experience. How you'll spend your days:
Managing the successful operations of all hotel departments to make sure we’re on top of the tiniest details
Leading and motivating staff while establishing a productive, positive and safe work environment
Working closely with contracted maintenance and housekeeping staff to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are clean, functioning effectively and properly maintained
Creating and managing work schedules for all staff while maintaining a flexible schedule to jump in to assist staff and cover any call-offs
Establishing a personal presence within the community – keeping up to date on all that Montrose has to offer
Demonstrating a commitment to the guest experience with a positive can-do attitude!
What you'll bring to the team:
5+ years of hotel operations or management experience
Advanced computer skills including scheduling, reporting, inventory management and communications – experience with hotel information system preferred
Hands-on management style, operations background, and strong employee development skills.
Ability to think creatively and change priorities swiftly to exceed guest's expectations
You thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where your goal is taking care of guests and employees
Available to work nights and weekends – we are hospitality after all
You will enjoy:
Salary $45,000-$55,000 depending on experience
Onsite living quarters in beautiful Montrose, Colorado
