I want to give a special THANK YOU to our Scout team. You are all so creative, cool, bright, stylish, and hardworking! It was an honor to work with each one of you.

Thank you to the community and our clients. Because of you, this was our best year ever!

Scout opened humbly in 2008, and now, in 2022, we’re heading into our 15th year of business. In 2021, somehow, with Covid still looming, we exceeded all our expectations, and we hit our incredibly ambitious sales goal of 2 million(!)

We have donated thousands of dollars to local area nonprofits. We hosted, supported, encouraged, and gave new and emerging artists and makers a platform. We also had so many fun events & photoshoots!

Most of all, though, we are proud to say that we kept to our primary purpose of keeping items in circulation and OUT of landfills. Together, we have saved countless TONS of items from the landfills!

So, what’s next for Scout?

We are relocating from our spot on Broadway and are actively hunting for our next perfect location in Denver.

However, we aren’t rushing the process. The last two years have been A LOT. (I think we can all agree on that!)

We are still open and alive at our home base in Omaha, Nebraska. We are in the Little Bohemia neighborhood at 1404 S 13th St. Omaha, NE, 68108.

We’ll still be doing⚡️Flash Sales⚡️, LIVES, Depop Drops, popup events and our website ilovescout.com is going to be the hub for even easier online shopping!

We asked Hannah of a couple questions about what it’s like being a local creator & small business right now & WHY it’s SO important to shop locally especially now.

Scout: Why people should shop local this season?

B-Side: Small businesses, the arts, and small art businesses were hit especially hard by Covid last holiday season. Many opted for online shopping instead of checking out local vendors. When you shop small, you are directly supporting real people who kept creating in spite of it all.

S: Anything especially important or interesting about you or your brand?

B: I do hand painted commissioned work (also on vinyl records), of any artist you’d like, in addition to prints. All of my art is printed or painted on recycled vinyl records sourced from local shops.
