New look, same great service!
Fitr Media has changed a lot since it first started, and this new logo represents the new direction we've been taking as a company the last 12-18 months.
Back in 2020, I (Michael) started freelancing building websites for clients on Upwork.
Soon after I founded Fitr Media.
Our primary clients were local businesses, with a focus on local gyms, hence the name Fitr Media ;).
However, as time passed we started working with more and more startups, specifically with tech, SaaS, and real estate startups.
The goal of this new logo is to better represent Fitr Media as a bold brand helping startups get sh*t done fast, specifically though Webflow development.
Also, be sure to bookmark fitrmedia.com, we're about to drop a redesign soon! 🥳
The dirty secret behind Webflow templates 😳
Here are 3 warning signs to look for before hiring a Webflow developer 👇
Local SEO can impact a local business in a lot of good ways, but here is just one of them 👇
This is a clip from a video in module 1 of a local SEO course I’m putting together.
From looking “corporate” to 2022 modern 🔥 design should have practical functionality, here’s an example 👇
Things that were improved:
❌ Looked too corporate
❌ The “home” button looks like a CTA
❌ No clear value proposition
❌ No clear next step (CTA)
❌ No social proof
From mildly interesting to adventure driven 🔥 see how just a few changes can totally transform a website for the better 👇
Some things that could be fixed:
❌ No explanation of what the company does. (What does this company do?)
❌ No call to action (What should I do next?)
❌ The logo and navbar are far too big
Using the company’s same branding & color pallete we can totally transform this website with just a few changes!
From below average to dope in 2 minutes 😱 Watch me redesign a website’s hero section 👇
Some of the website’s current struggles:
❌ No clear value proposition
❌ Service location hard to find
❌ No call to action
❌ Navbar is too large
❌ Image makes text hard to read

3 warning signs to look for when hiring a web designer 👇
1.) No contract
If a designer wants to get started on your website and doesn't have you sign a contract first, this is a huge warning sign that a.) the person doesn't know what they're doing or b.) they're trying to scam you.
2.) No initial strategy/discovery session
Every freelancer/agency's process will look entirely different, but nonetheless, they should always have some sort of process in place to map out your new website.
Basically, this can be a simple 30-60min video call laying out a sitemap for your website, identifying necessary features, and discovering goals for your website based on goals that you have for your business.
3.) A separate process for "web design" & "web development"
This is one of the factors that usually separates premium web design from lower end web design.
The design phase is where the design of your website comes to life. Your website isn't being "built" yet, just designed. Designers usually use a tool such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch to craft these designs.
This allows for a faster revision process since design changes are easier to make in design software than on a website.
Once the design is finalized, the designer will move into development. This is where your website is built for the web. Each developer's tech stack for this phase is different.
For me, I use Webflow.
If they did a strategy session with you in the beginning and have already successfully completed the design phase, you now know exactly how your website will look/function before it's even built—giving yourself some peace of mind (because let's be honest, purchasing a website can be scary).
