Autism clinics operate with little state regulatory oversight. Please read this article about autism clinics if your child is attending one or if you are considering placing your child in one.
It is an eye opening article about how much money these clinics make and the substandard care some of them provide. Not all clinics operate the same way, but some are harming children under the guise of helping them with their behavior.
Be informed about what is going on to make the right choice for your child.
Short Naps, Long Hours: How Autism Clinics Squeeze Medicaid Dollars Out of Preschoolers The industry has grown rapidly, straining state budgets. A focus on finances has led to overbilling, fraud and even harm.

Cursive is back! More and more states are requiring it be taught. The latest state is Pennsylvania. Where it's not required, more cursive clubs are forming. I think cursive can look very beautiful, but it's more than just beautiful.
“When you form those intricate letters, those motor patterns on paper, it actually requires much more of the brain, and the brain is much more active and it’s more stimulating for the brain than to type letters on the keyboard,” said Audrey van der Meer, a brain researcher and professor of psychology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
Cursive Club, Where Students Learn With a Flourish Years after it was omitted from the Common Core standards, some students are practicing cursive in clubs after school and in libraries. Some states are bringing it back to classrooms.
