Chicks for Christ (formerly Hesed Egg Ministry) started in 2012 at Shiloh Field Community Garden. A Our coop houses just about 100 laying hens.

Chicks for Christ was started with the mission to do what Jesus asks us to do. Matthew 25:35 tell us plainly, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." We have added 168 baby chicks to our growing flock. This brings Chicks for Christ chicken total to over 320 beautiful ladies!! Mr. P has a lot of caretaking ahead of him!

Chicks for Christ has donated over 145 dozen eggs to local food pantries in July. That brings their yearly total to 1,401 dozen!! Those are some hard working chicks!!
