Accolades for Delray Beach: 'Blue Flag' award and 'Best Beach in Florida' nomination Last year, Delray Beach became one of the first two beaches in the continental United States to earn Blue Flag status.

Hector is our newest employee from Venezuela. Hector is an amazing swimmer with dreams of becoming a full time Lifeguard EMT for Delray Beach Ocean Rescue. He quickly became a positive addition to our Delray Beach family. Please donate to help us send Hector to E.M.T (Emergency Medical Technician) School so he can further assist the beautiful city and all who come and visit!

Update March 28, 2024: The Florida Department of Health Palm Beach County has lifted the HEALTH ADVISORY today after water quality in our beach was tested and found to be within a good range. Swimming is now open.
Original Post, March 26, 2024: Florida Department of Health Palm Beach County posted a HEALTH ADVISORY for Delray Beach and other locations throughout the County after recent sampling showed elevated bacterial levels in the water. Swimming is prohibited. More information: www.doh.state.fl.us
