🌱Help Plant 2,000 Trees in the Sahara🌳

The Sahara is expanding into the lives of the people who call this region “home”.
In the communities of R’kiz and Bareina, Mauritania, desertification and shifting sands are threatening homes, livelihoods, villages, and the cultural heritage of generations.
The Global Tree Initiative is raising $6,400 to support the planting of 2,000 trees as part of a local reforestation effort.

Celebrating His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 91st Birthday with gratitude and joy. ❤️

The Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education marked this special occasion with heartfelt prayers in Chenrinzeg Hall, followed by the planting of 130 fruit-bearing trees across the campus, a living tribute to growth, harmony, sustainability, and hope for future generations. 🌱🌳
