Meteorological Spring has officially arrived and I’ll certainly take it! ☀️
The shift in light this time of year in New England changes everything—especially how we experience our interiors. As the days lengthen, we’re leaning into "lighter and brighter" pared back rooms that capture that renewed energy.
Whether it’s through airy textiles, reflective surfaces, or a move toward more organic, tonal layers like this project, there is something so restorative about an interior that... breathes. Our Hathaway Project was all about maximizing that natural vibe to create a space that feels serene. https://lnkd.in/eMhS_nWS

The first impression of a home is the Entry Hall. In a recent project, we designed a the Front Hall with restraint and a limited color palette as it leads into the home office, kitchen and other spaces. A weighty cast bronze demilune table with glass top — a piece that feels sculptural with a hand-finished patina — was the starting point as it is not only eye catching yet was the perfect size for the only wall in the space. Floating above is an organic white round mirror reflecting light, adding a bit of whimsy, and softening the table’s industrial edge.

created a beautiful bedroom oasis in non-traditional hues! We love it! And that she incorporated the Palm Beach Demilune into the room.

Do I still whoop out loud when I see one of our projects in print? Yes, I do. I've been doing this work for quite a long time but it is always such a treat to see one of our designs published. It was fun to open up the Boston Globe Magazine today and see the beautiful kitchen we designed as part of a whole house project in Lexington, Massachusetts. Not only was it a pleasure to work with the clients who had great taste and are exceedingly lovely people, but it was a second project with a builder I adore. Anyone in the construction business understands many things need to align -- vision, budget, ex*****on, and trust -- for a truly exceptional end result and this was one of those unicorn projects. Many thanks to writer Marni Katz who sees thousands of worthy projects a year and picked ours; to Joe Keller, our great photographer, and to our clients. Lastly, I fully understand nowadays to get published in PRINT is a big deal as everything is on line. Not only is this in glossy color, but I love the lead! In journalistic hierarchy Marni Elyse Katz actually led with my name! Talk about great press!

Designing a windowless, lower-level bathroom can be a challenge, but for this family home, it was a chance to get creative! Located right next to the home gym, our goal was to create a space that felt easy, breezy, and fun for the tween and teen kids. Our clients embraced a clean Scandinavian style for the home; here we focused on textures and a bright, fresh palette. The vibe is also spa-like, especially with the smooth pebble floor in the shower. This room proves that even without natural light, a well-designed space can be a cheerful and functional haven for the whole family.

NEW WORK: Being organized for Summer guests and family visits starts here. In this Mudroom for clients whose design brief included a light, bright space, hardworking floors that look like slate (but a fool-your-eye porcelain tile) and lots of storage as it has both closed and open areas housing three closets. The Scandi theme and light wood motif that’s used throughout this house finds a place in the handsome cabinet hardware: light oak and matte black drawer pulls and cabinet door handles. Photo:
