The sun finally made an appearance just as I was leaving the field, and after checking the radar, things are looking mostly clear for tonight at the Alabama Jubilee! We may see a brief mist or a light shower later, but nothing major at this point.
Thereβs still plenty happening out at Point Mallard this evening, with entertainment from 5 to 9 p.m., the possibility of balloon launches this afternoon, a little after 5, and, of course, the fireworks show at 9:30 tonight. π
Be sure to stop by and check out Dale at the Chips & Dale truck and let us know what you think!
We hope to see you out enjoying another great night at the Jubilee in Decatur. Our show will be mobile at several locations this week and return to our one-hour shows the first week of June.

Weβre LIVE at the Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation Dragon Boat Race & Festival at Point Mallard β and this place is already rocking.
Races started at 8:30 this morning and the fun goes all day until 4 p.m. Best part? Admission is completely FREE.
If youβve never experienced the Dragon Boat Races, youβre missing one of the best community events in Decatur. Teams of 22 paddlers race massive 46-foot dragon boats down the Tennessee River with drums beating, crowds cheering, and plenty of friendly competition.
Bring a chair, grab some concessions, and come hang out with us for a while. Whether you know somebody racing or not, itβs hard not to get caught up in the excitement once those boats hit the water.
Come see us at Point Mallard Park β weβll be here promoting the races and enjoying a beautiful Saturday on the river.
We had a chance to catch up with Allan Britnell - VP of Manufacturing and Plant Manager at Daikin America, Inc today on The Steve and Dale Show and got a few inside tips on what to expectβ¦ and it sounds like this yearβs Daikin Festival is going to be one you donβt want to miss.
The festival is back at Point Mallard Park, and the lineup is stacked. Youβve got Natchez Trace hitting the stage, along with the Calhoun Community College Show Band and the always impressive Taiko Force Drum Team.
And then⦠they wrap it all up with a fireworks show.
Food, drinks, entertainment⦠all FREE. That part never gets old.
Itβs one of those nights that just feels like Decaturβgood music, families everywhere, and plenty to do without spending a dime.

Whoβs planning to go this year?
πΈBIG UPDATE FROM ROCK THE SOUTH AT THE FIELDS IN DECATUR! πΈ
Steve and Dale just wrapped up an on-site visit with Chase Grisham and Josh Garrett, President of Garrett Contracting β and folks, itβs full speed ahead for Rock the South for the next 6 weeks!
Work is underway. Garrett Contracting crews are already on the ground preparing gravel entrances and laying out the camping area. Chase and Josh walked us through the site improvements and the vision for whatβs coming June 11-13, 2026.
A few things that have us fired up:
π Peachtree Entertainment delivers temporary stages by 18-wheeler, as they have for the past 15 years, ensuring smooth logistics and allowing stages to be positioned wherever the layout requires each year.
π± Each year, site improvements will continue to build The Fields into a premier destination
ποΈ Tickets are moving fast β if youβre planning to be there, donβt wait around!
For 15 years, Rock The South has been more than a festival β itβs a Southern tradition. What started back in 2012 to support tornado recovery has grown into one of the biggest country and southern rock celebrations in the South, drawing tens of thousands of fans and giving back to local charities every year.
And now itβs coming HOME to Decatur. π€π€
Steve and Dale will be meeting with Chase regularly between now and the event, bringing you behind-the-scenes updates as The Fields takes shape. This is a premier event for our community, and we couldnβt be more excited to watch it come together right here in Morgan County.
Grab your tickets, mark your calendar, and stay tuned β much more to come! πΆ
