Changing Pathways: Connecting Clean Water and Faith 10/22/2021

Through our partnership with Healing Hands International and the Shoals Area Walk4Water, over 5,900 lives are changed with safe, clean water in communities in Northern Ghana. We are working to build hope and change the cycle of water poverty.

Changing Pathways: Connecting Clean Water and Faith Connecting Clean Water and Faith Clean water can change lives. If we have learned anything throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, it is that if our health and wellbeing are in danger, we are incapable of achieving our full potential. During the last year, life as we know it halted— businesses failed, e...

Thanks to Healing Hands International for the partnership with GWAM helping so many in Ghana, West Africa, with clean drinking water for community villages like Bachabodo pictured below. Now this village well will serve nearly 300 people daily with clean, safe water.

Well repair is a vital element of HHI’s clean water program. When wells break down, communities suffer. Repairing wells ensures sustainability and strengthens relationships with people in the communities where wells are repaired.

One of the wells that serves the Bachabodo village in Ghana had broken down due to normal wear and tear. Residents were unable to use the well for their daily activities. But through a partnership with GWAM and Rural Water Development Program, this well is now functioning and serving the members of the Bachabodo village again!

Don Barnett's Legacy Well Project:

The family of Donald C. Barnett, who left this life on his 91st birthday, would like to invite you to partner with them and GWAM in fulfilling one of his final requests. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for a new water well in Northern Ghana in Don's honor.

Don had a passionate love for his Lord God, his family and friends, and the churches of Christ around the world. Over the many years, Don was a faithful advocate for those suffering in Ghana who needed clean water. He often and willfully used his resources to make a difference in many lives.

Having been raised on a farm in Muleshoe, Texas, Don knew the importance of life-sustaining water and asked that we drill a much-needed water well in Northern Ghana, West Africa, in his memory. This new water source will help change the lives of some 300 people daily in a small community near Yendi for many years to come. What a great way for you to help transform a small community by assisting them to have close access to safe, clean water.

Please join Don's family and GWAM in honoring his legacy. Thank you so much for your attention and participation. Any gift amount will help.
