Cook Museum of Natural Science

Let Your Inner Artist Shine! Show off your creativity by entering the Cook Museum Pumpkin Stencil Design Contest! We’re looking for original stencil designs to be carved onto pumpkins that will be displayed in the live animal enclosures in the Discover Exhibit on October 31 during Animal Enrichment Day.
For your entry, draw the outline of the areas that should be cut out of the pumpkin. Designs should be inspired by natural science and be suitable for carving into a pumpkin.

Hip, hip, hooray! Animals at play! Visit the Museum during the Animals at Play Fun Day to learn how different animals express themselves in play. Bricks & Minifigs Huntsville will be joining us to provide loose LEGO® bricks for guests to build enrichment items for the Museum’s live animals. Author Abby Markus will be onsite with a portable bee observational hive and sharing fun facts about honey bees from her book. See you soon!

Spend your Fall Break at Cook Museum! Lots of fun activities coming up soon!

Thank you to everyone who joined the 2026 Volunteer Recognition Ceremony! Volunteers received awards, refreshments, and lots of laughter this year. We are so thankful for all of them! 💐
