Steve and Brenda Faucette have been missionaries with Baptist World Mission in Canada since 2007. Steve was raised in a missionary home, where he had the unique privilege of seeing ministry firsthand. As a young boy, he heard the Gospel and trusted Christ as his personal Savior. Brenda was also raised in a Christian home and came to know Christ while visiting her grandparents and attending services at their church. Years later, during a missionary presentation at her home church, Brenda surrendered her life to the Lord, trusting Him to lead her wherever He would call.
Steve and Brenda’s paths crossed at Bible college, where God was working in both of their hearts. During Steve’s junior year, he surrendered to God’s call to preach and serve Him with his life. After graduation, Steve and Brenda married, and shortly after, the Lord opened an opportunity for them to serve in Canada, where they have faithfully served ever since.

Jeremie and Damaris Dodeler (France) continue to see God faithfully working through their ministry in Amiens, France. As they serve with greater responsibility in the church, they are encouraged by spiritual growth among believers, several preparing to officially join the church, and members taking greater initiative to serve and share the Gospel. The Dodelers are also thankful for the children and teens who have participated in Bible clubs, the faithful service of church members, and the many opportunities to build relationships and share God's Word. They also had the opportunity to serve this summer at Camp Rainbow, a place that is near and dear to their life and ministry. Through every season, they are reminded of God's faithfulness and provision.

“Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him” (1 Thessalonians 5:10).

Czechia is home to more than 10.5 million people. This country, nestled in the heart of Europe, has many living in historic cities, quiet villages, and modern communities, each in need of the hope found in Jesus Christ. According to the 2021 census, more than two-thirds of respondents identified as having no religious belief. The need is great to faithfully proclaim the Gospel, disciple new believers, build relationships, and establish churches that will continue reaching their communities with the truth of God's Word.

Jeremie and Damaris Dodeler have served as missionaries to France with Baptist World Mission since 2005. But their connection to missions began long before they ever answered God’s call for themselves. Each was born to BWM missionaries serving in France and was raised in Christian homes where they saw firsthand what it meant to live for Christ. Jeremie trusted Christ as a young boy after hearing the convicting preaching of his father at camp. Years later, while attending Camp Rainbow, directed by BWM missionary Tim Knickerbocker, God worked in his heart, and Jeremie surrendered his life to serving Him. Damaris (Knickerbocker) also accepted Christ at a very young age. As a teenager, through her parents' godly example and influence, she came to understand the importance of studying God’s Word and committing her life to serving Him. After Jeremie and Damaris were married, God brought their individual callings together and led them to serve the people of France. For more than two decades, they have faithfully invested their lives in reaching others with the Gospel. Their story is a beautiful reminder that God often uses the faithful example of one generation to prepare the next generation to carry the Gospel forward.

MISSIONARY OF THE WEEK UPDATE:
Gabriel and Rebekah Chauvie (Uruguay) hosted their annual Children’s Day outreach, with nearly 50 children attending. They also celebrated over 20 years of the church in El Real! What began in a home has grown into an independent church with its own building, and some of the children who once attended are now married and serving in church leadership. What a testimony of God’s faithfulness! Recently, the Chauvies returned to Uruguay after a blessed four-month furlough. They praise the Lord for His protection, provision, and the opportunity to visit with family, friends, pastors, and churches. During their furlough, the Lord also added six new churches to their monthly support team! Please continue praying for the Chauvie family and for the Gospel opportunities God continues to provide.
