We invite you to become a member or just join us for an afternoon of sisterhood. They invited others to join them on their journey to friendship.

Our 8 founders, Margaret Lee Batten, Louise Marie Davis, Martha Trent Featherston, Isabella Merrick, Sallie Jackson Michie, Lelia Scott, Elizabeth Watkins and Lucy Wright, invited others to join their journey on the road to friendship. Tri Sigma is not just four years, but for life. We invite you to join our bonds of sisterhood, as we continue into alumnae life.

A wonderful siblinghood was created 128 years ago. This weekend, the ATL Alumni and Epsilon Theta chapters gathered one last time at our home to celebrate our founding. While the Epsilon Theta house is closing, the chapter remains and our bonds are stronger and more present than ever. If you attended either event this weekend, welcome back! If you weren’t able to join us, WE MISSED YOU and cannot wait to see you at our next event. If you feel so inclined to donate to our illustrious siblinghood today, there are ambassadors all over the country who can take your payment. Alumni of Greek Life 03/31/2026

Dear Members of the Atlanta Alumni Chapter of Tri Sigma, specifically members of the Epsilon Theta Chapter, please see the following message below from Oglethorpe University President Dr. Kathryn McClymond and the comment section for additional information:

Dear Members of the Board of Trustees, Emeritus Trustees and Advisors,

I am writing to share an update regarding student housing on Oglethorpe’s Greek Row after our discussions earlier this year.

Effective May 15, 2026, we will transition the six houses currently occupied by two sororities, two fraternities, and two theme houses out of the campus housing portfolio. This change reflects a broader effort to align our housing resources with the needs of today’s students while focusing university resources on facilities that most directly support student success, engagement, and long-term institutional sustainability.

The opportunity for co-housing will be moved to other buildings. Students interested in shared housing as an element of theme housing or Greek chapters will have the option to select neighboring suites in upper-class housing. This shift will give the students flexibility in relation to occupancy, which has been an ongoing challenge in the houses, and maintain the current price point. Students will still be able to propose theme housing through the residential selection process.

As discussed at the January Board meeting, space has already been identified to provide equitable programming and social space for all active Greek chapters in Hearst Hall. Dr. Meredith Raimondo and her team will work closely with Greek life leadership to ensure continuity of community, appropriate gathering and storage spaces, and a smooth transition for students. They are scheduled to meet with Greek student leadership today to begin these conversations directly.

Oglethorpe remains firmly committed to fraternities and sororities as an important part of campus life. Greek organizations will continue to be supported through a model that emphasizes community, leadership, and belonging, consistent with our strategic priorities and the needs of today’s students.

Any longer-term decisions regarding the future use of unused facilities will align with the university’s campus master planning and strategic direction, with appropriate stakeholder engagement as planning progresses.

Thank you for your continued leadership and stewardship of Oglethorpe’s future.

Sincerely,

President Kathryn McClymond, Ph.D. (she/her/hers)

Edit: The Greek Row presidents have created a survey to complete. Take a gander:
