We are people, with and without developmental disabilities, sharing life in communities of faith.

L'Arche Atlanta is an Atlanta-based nonprofit that supports adults with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD). In the L'Arche Atlanta community, people with IDD (whom we call Core Members) are not clients, patients, or recipients of services. Instead, they are friends, teachers, and companions, who, through daily acts of care, trust, and friendship, develop into ambassadors of compassion

We were so grateful to join Holy Trinity Parish in hosting a dinner honoring our board member extraordinaire, Gayle Gellerstedt, who recently received the prestigious Agnes Scott Alumnae Association Scottie Award. This award recognized her lifelong commitment to service and volunteerism, and celebrated her direct impact on organizations like ours. We appreciate all that you do for L'Arche!

With the launch of "We’re Here: Then, Now, Always," a national campaign by the NACDD, we join communities from across the country in celebrating the lives and contributions of people with I/DD. As Jill Jacobs reminds us, "All of us have a responsibility to keep learning, engaging, and building communities where everyone belongs—every day of the year." This week, we feature Corbin, highlighting how his musical talents enrich our local community.
