Such a sweet one-year cake smash. I honestly don’t know who was more excited...the birthday boy, big brother, or mom and dad watching their boys have fun. I love when the whole family gets in on the cake smash session. To me, it’s more than celebrating a birthday...it’s about capturing a sweet family memory. And these images are extra special seeing how excited big brother was to feed his little brother cake!

I try so hard to focus on the moments you won’t get to recreate. I want the photos from your session to bring out real emotion. Those details that make you feel something in your heart.

I always make sure to get the parents’ hands in the images. To me, it’s the most beautiful way to show just how tiny your baby is.There’s only a short time when your hands fit perfectly around them. When it’s gone… it’s gone. They’ll grow and your hands will hold them differently...but never quite like this.

Life really does move so quickly. One day, they’re this little… and you think you’ll always remember. You tell yourself you’ll book the photos soon...when things slow down, when life feels a little less full. But somehow it never really does. Two big sisters, one tiny baby brother

These sisters made this in-home newborn session so memorable. They were excited to show me around their house, their rooms, and their favorite colors...while proudly introducing their baby brother. The oldest was calm and gentle, holding him so sweetly, while the youngest had everyone laughing with her energy and playful personality (definitely the comedian of the family!).

I love photographing families in their homes because it lets kids be themselves and allows me to capture the memories that will mean the most to you.
