Let’s talk about your home-buying timeline because getting started in June can give you more time, more clarity, and more confidence as you move through the process.

🔑 Find the right agent

Timeframe: 1-2 weeks

This is the time to talk with agents, read reviews, and find someone who understands your goals. I also offer buyer consultations so you can learn more about me, the process, and what working together looks like.

💰 Work with a lender & get pre-approved

Timeframe: 1-2 weeks

A pre-approval helps you understand your budget and puts you in a stronger position when you find the right home. I can also connect you with trusted local lenders so you can compare your options.

☕ Meet with your agent to talk through your plan

Timeframe: An hour or two

We can meet over coffee or hop on a video call to talk through your ideal timeline, preferred locations, must-haves, and what you’re hoping to find in your next home.

🏡 Browse listings online & schedule in-person tours

Timeframe: 1 week to 3 months

This part can vary depending on your needs and what’s available in your local market. Having a knowledgeable agent on your side can help you sort through options and make the most of your search.

✍️ Make an offer & negotiate

Timeframe: 1 day to 1 week

Once you find the right home, your agent will help you decide on a strong offer strategy and guide you through negotiations, terms, and counteroffers.

📦 Enter the closing process

Timeframe: 4 to 6 weeks

This is when inspections, appraisal, loan approval, final paperwork, and closing details all come together before you officially get the keys.

Just a little glimpse of what it's like to be me 😂

A constant rotation of thinking about homes, neighborhoods, contracts, negotiations, my customers, and...

If your summer plans currently involve saying “we should get out more” and then staying home, this is your sign to head to Little River Canyon.

Just under a couple hours from much of North Alabama, Fort Payne is home to one of the prettiest day trips around and somehow it still feels underrated. Start at Little River Falls because the waterfall views are worth the drive alone, then cruise along Canyon Rim Drive for overlooks that look way more dramatic in person than they do in pictures. If you want to stretch your legs, there are easy scenic spots mixed in with longer trails, plus the Little River Canyon Center is a great stop to cool off and learn more about the area.

Spend the day chasing overlooks, packing a picnic, stopping for photos every five minutes, or just enjoying somewhere that feels far away without actually being far away. Summer weekends were made for places like this.
