We want to make our patients aware that there is currently a nationwide shortage of several estrogen patches, including some estradiol patch brands and generic options.

This shortage is NOT specific to one pharmacy or provider. It is affecting pharmacies across the country due to:
• A major increase in demand for hormone replacement therapy
• Increased awareness and treatment of perimenopause and menopause symptoms
• Manufacturing and supply chain limitations that are struggling to keep up

Unfortunately, this means some pharmacies may temporarily be out of stock, have delays, or only carry certain brands/doses.

Please know that we are actively working on ways to help ensure our patients continue to have access to the medications they need through various pharmacy relationships and resources we have available. However, at this time, the best thing patients can do is be proactive in calling local pharmacies to check which locations currently have their prescribed patch in stock.

If your pharmacy tells you your patch is unavailable, we recommend:
• Calling other local pharmacies to check availability
• Asking if they can see stock at nearby locations
• Letting us know which pharmacy has your medication in stock so we can help coordinate appropriately

Often, refills can simply be transferred between pharmacies. If you find a pharmacy with your prescribed patch in stock, request that pharmacy transfer the refill from your original pharmacy directly to them.

If this is for a new prescription rather than a refill, please text us at 937-489-4506 with the pharmacy name and location where you would like the prescription sent.

Please understand that pharmacy inventory changes daily, and availability may vary from one location to another.

We know this is frustrating, especially when hormone therapy plays such an important role in symptom management and quality of life. We truly appreciate your patience as pharmacies and manufacturers work through these ongoing supply issues.
