My longtime friend Rico De Souza(he was a roommate on the North Shore the winter of '72) got in a session in the Boa Vista wave pool in Sao Paulo the past week, looks fun!

The new issue of SURF WC has hit the streets with my PT's Viewpoint column on the Olympics, you can pick a copy up at key surf shops and the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum!

First day of the Surf Park Summit in La Jolla was a beauty with opening keynote by park pioneers Damon Tudor and Craig Stoddard was fantastic, learnt a lot on what it takes to build and open a surf park!
More today!

Was stoked to see a surf mag Surfer back on newsstands, bought this copy at Barnes & Noble(they carry Surfers' Journal too) but there were copies at my local Ralph's too, even at checkout.
Good job Jake Howard and his assembled group, good content and even the Ad Guys got key players as they're calling them in this re-birth issue.

Just finished a docent tour of the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum of our current exhibit "Duke's Dream Came True: Surfing's Road to the Olympics" for a group of Brazilian students from the Sao Paulo region in the English school.
The were stoked on Italo being featured as the first Olympic Gold medallist and sticking their heads in the final panel with Italo!

Everybody is chiming in with their 2 cents worth on the new CEO hire for the WSL, let's give the guy a chance, in an Olympic year surfing will have it's greatest competitive exposure ever, let's see if he and the WSL can use that to their benefit, let's see what he may plan for the WSL future before we jump to conclusions!

FINALS DAY at the WSL Rip Curl Pro coming up in about an hour, it's gonna be an evening in front of the "Big Screen" TV on ESPN+ to see who rings the bell, gonna be 2 first time winners! THANKS to Reggae Ellis for the line-up shot!

Some FUN later this month, break out the twin fins for the Monduba Twin Fin Invitational!

The Brazilian Storm is on fire at the ISA World Games in Puerto Rico with Filipe Toledo leading the way, along with Yago Dora and Gabriel Medina they're all still alive in the winners round and looking good to win the 3rd Olympic slot for this year's Olympics for their Men's Team!!
