Met her on Mother’s Day 1951 -Married her on Nov. 9, 1952
Lost her on June 19, 2019. The saddest day of my life.
It is now some 73 years ago when I met my sweet Mary Ann. The pic was made that very day She was the heartbeat of my life and provide me with enough sweet memories to carry me til' we meet again.
Here's a poem(Poem By Lacey Brianne Landis, which I like in remembrance of my sweetheart now near the anniversary of her death in 2019.

Did anyone get this book on their Grandfather, Great Grandfather ?????????????

This is me with Mom. It is only a few feet from a place on what was a vacant lot next door to our home in the pic. A few months later the lat had a home built on it. They dug a hole perhaps 6'x6'by 8ft deep for a septic tank.
Before the was completed I had an opportunity to capture and place every free-running dog and cat in the neighborhood and place them into that pit. I have no idea as to why.

At any rate, they were all pretty pi**ed. There was a ladder nearby which had been used by the workers to dig that hole and I dropped it down to do down and get them out from their captivity.

They really didn't need much help as they climbed and bit me and the ladder pretty well a number of times as I climbed out.

My mom saw me all scratched up and bleeding some and asked "What happened?" I told her.

I ended up in that old red Dallas County County Courthouse taking the series of Rabies Shots for a few weeks, as I couldn't identify which ones had bitten and scratched me..

W/My Sweetheart

The memories of immeasurable love and joy of almost 70 years, which we shared slightly, softens the painful absence of her smiles and love. She was my love, my partner, my best friend in every way possible for 68 years and forever in my memory. It will be five years next month when I thought I had kissed her "good night" to learn in the next morning it was my kiss "goodbye." The sadness of my loss, and the loving memories she gave, are branded on my heart forever. I will be eternally grateful to God, for placing her in my life and for the immeasurable lifetime of blessings she provided.😔
